We'd even go so far to say that it could determine if you'd want to finish the entire bag! Having said that, we want to make sure you receive the matcha education you need to make an informed decision. Read on how to choose the right matcha for your next purchase!
Back to the basics
There are 3 different matcha grades available on the market (Culinary, Latte & Ceremonial), from left to right represents the quality, basic culinary being the lowest. Culinary is usually used to prepare goods such as pastries, latte grade (as the name mentions) is used to prepare lattes or smoothies, and ceremonial grade is used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony known as "chanoyu." The US market usually consumes matcha in the form of a drink. This being said, you can use any of the grades for your daily matcha drinks. Another way to tell the quality of matcha is its color intensity. The more vibrant the color, the higher the grade. These qualities are usually seen in more costly and high quality matcha. We extensively sampled many grades before concluding that for the everyday consumer, latte-grade matcha is high quality at a fair price.
Why Greenboxed Latte-Grade Matcha, though?
Our company's focus is on Japanese Premium Latte-Grade because we found it is the best quality for the money (we are matcha lovers ourselves, and also healthy conscious people). Our matcha tastes delicious, is not bitter, and does not contain any fillers such as cornstarch or cane sugar giving you the ability to customize your matcha drink according to your diet. We are also USDA and JONA (Japan Organic and Natural Foods Association) certified.
Last but not least, we are ridiculously proud of our product and take great care in only putting a product on the market that we would consume ourselves (we are really picky with what we eat or put in our bodies). We would love for you to try our matcha!
